In 2020, we obtained a business license with the state of Oregon to broadcast/livestream the Osprey nest at our home in Adrian, Or; Eastern Oregon Osprey Center, LLC was born. We are a pro fishing & hunting organization, that also believes in protecting birds for future generations. We are not politically motivated; we are just Americans that enjoy birds. Osprey are large brown and white diurnal raptor birds with 71 ” in wingspan and 24 ” in length. We foster the inclusion of Osprey by facilitating their integration with the human population through public involvement, advocacy, and educational resources.
Osprey are commonly known as “fish hawks,” because they prey and feed on various fish populations. They also play an important role in nutrient cycling, soil enrichment, and the overall health of ecosystems in North America.
Our funding is received through donations. We use donation funds to purchase nests, nest mounting poles, and technology to help monitor Osprey habitats. Funding is also used to build temporary housing cages and rehabilitate injured Osprey.
